Monster Maker

Here is a layout that I have been playing around with the last couple of days, just doing a bit here and there. I'll admit to getting completely stuck on this one and just sitting and staring at it for long periods of time. Anyway I can call it done now.



I've used my homemade flocked borders on this. I wish I could find a Xyron X150 at a decent price so I could make some more! I've also made a fair few cards recently but they just need some finishing touches on before I can show them, I am waiting on some craft robo blades (which I think may have got lost in the post - Pah!)

We have a completley child free weekend all the way to Monday, so we were looking forward to a lovely Sunday meet up and NO ONE is about, pah! not been out on a Sunday for ages, free pass etc and not even the old regulars whose bum has worn a pattern in the stool are out tomorrow - I am in quite the sulk! I shall have to be my own company, I am determined to enjoy myself tomorrow.

Mod Machine - Guest Designing for Little Musings

Good Morning everyone. I was lucky enough to get to guest design for Little Musings this week, I love SJ's designs they are always so fresh and funky and really easy to use! This week she designed this ultra cool Vespa set with precoloured and outlined images of Vespas and helmets (love the one with the flames)



I made this card with the outline vespa and I made some patterned paper with the outline of the helmet on repeat - I gotta admit those tiny helmets were a bugger to colour with my promarkers but I am pleased with the results!!



I also had a play with some of her other sets which SJ generously sent me. First off a bookmark for Jessica which she has been nagging me for. I used the outline from the set 'Miranda' a cute little girl sock monkey. I attached her to the bookmark by a scored line at the top of her head so that she appears to dangle over the page.



Here she is in all her bookmarky glory



Then I could not resist using on of the chicks from 'Basket of Chicks' I had this bit of hessian on my desk and this sort of made itself, a slap of paint, a cute folky heart and voilla a cute little door hanger for Jessicas door!



And finally a very simple and sweet little easter card using 'Basket of Chicks' again, I decoupaged some of the elements on this card to make the basket have an overflowing feel to it.



I so enjoyed my guest spot so I was thrilled to be asked to stay on as part of the design team proper - YAY!!! Can't wait to get to play with more of SJ's fantastic designs.

Friends are a Treasure - Twisted Sketches

This layout is me and my old antenatal and baby bringing up friend Sophie and was taken on my hen do last May, it was so nice to catch up with her.

Hey There

I've had a busy day today and only managed to grab a bit of crafty time half an hour ago, but get me, I've made a card in that time - I am getting so much quicker.



This card was made from lots of scraps and random shapes that were all mixed up in my 'scraps' box, a bit of layering and voila! I have been busy crafting away recently for a guest spot and I can show you the projects I made for that on Friday and tomorrow I have a layout to share - I KNOW!!! A Layout, a rare breed on this blog at the moment!

Missing You

This is my entry for this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge which this week is Pink and Yellow.



I have a lovely weekend planned, we are out this evening for a few drinks with friends, then tomorrow we are going shopping, we were planning to go to exeter for a bit of a change but a 1.5hr drive this weekend is probably ill advised, so it will prob be Bristol and a nice posh lunch out (I have been promised!!) Sunday we are hoping to go to a BBQ at my sisters in Bath. I hope you all have lovely weekends, the weather should be lush, its really mood lifting.

Golden Wedding

Oh I had such fun whilst photographing this card. I tend to put the card on the hall floor as we seem to get the best natural light in the hall. So there I was on my hands and knees clicking away when I saw something move out of the corner of my eye, I look around and I am SURROUNDED by bloody ants! they were everywhere! For a while the laminate flooring in our hall has been a bit loose in one spot and there is a crack in the join and thats where the little blighters were coming in from! One teeeny tiny bit of nice weather and out come the ants!



This has to be sorted before Flying Ant day as I am so scared of those! I have spent 5 mins spraying fly spray on them (it seemed to work) and stomping them, I have slippers with lots of little corpses on them now - yuck.

I decided yesterday that I couldn't face the treadmill so rather than do nothing I dragged out the wii fit and had a go at some of the muscle workouts. Now I thought my legs were fairly solid after 7 weeks of almost daily running, OMG I am so stiff today, my legs feel like jelly and even my abs ache its so bad I can't run today either - stupid wii fit!

World Book Day

Have this layout to share today, I feel like I should have kept adding elements to this, but I was getting a bit fed up and grumpy with it so I called it finished! (the yellow is much more of an acid yellow IRL - even in nice weather conditions I still struggle to take a decent photo!)



Also I made this card yesterday - still loving the new promarkers, sitting and colouring is very theraputic and relaxing.

Passion for Promarkers

I thought I would have a go at the weekly Passion for Promarkers challenge this week for the first time. The theme was bugs and here is my entry



Bit of stitching and doodling on this also. I only saw the challenge this afternoon and it finishes tomorrow am so this was a super quick card for me!

Its a bit of a madhouse here at the moment, Jessica has a solo in assembly tomorrow to show off her performing arts classes, so we have 'tomorrow' from the musical Annie, over and over and over - bless her!

Weekend Crafting

Since I took a bit of a break from the 'social' scene at weekends, I have enjoyed having a bit of time (and a clear head) to fit in a spot of crafting. I've found I won't implode with a poof of air if I don't get out and about! I've spent a happy couple of hours slowly making a LO for Twisted Sketches.

But today I have a couple of cards to show you - I know it all seems like cards at the moment, but my true love is still scrapping I promise! :)

First off this one that I was asked to make for someones 65th



And then this one for Jasons mum for mothers day.

New Hair

Look how much its grown since my wedding 10 months ago, I do sleep on pillows of fertiliser though! Its been a bit limp and flat lately and I fanicied a change without a, going to the hairdressers, and b, cutting the length.



So I cut in a fringe this morning, it looks a bit sparse in this pic, but its quite a full fringe and I rather like it! The photo is B&W cos my face is still beetroot from my run! :)

And yes I am aware that I look about 12!
